TOWN OF WALLKILL ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Wallkill, New York on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard on said date. 

Due to public health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the ZBA will NOT be meeting in person.  In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 202.1, the June 8, 2020 ZBA public hearing will be held remotely via video conferencing and telephone conference call; and a transcript will be available at a later date.  The public WILL have the opportunity to hear the meeting live and provide comments.

The ZBA meeting will commence at 7:30 p.m. and shall be conducted through a web-based video conferencing tool (and via telephone) that will allow the ZBA board members, staff and the public to participate electronically and remotely.  To participate in the ZBA’s June 8, 2020 meeting please contact the ZBA Clerk by telephone at (845) 692-7800 ext. 141 or e-mail at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Upon receipt of a request to join the ZBA’s June 8, 2020 meeting, an invitation will be sent to your e-mail with instructions for accessing and participating in the meeting. 

It will cover the application by Adams Fairacre Farms, as applicant, and the Patricia A. Wilson Family Trust as owners, for the following variances from the Town of Wallkill Zoning Code (the “Code”): (1) from §249-100.D(1)(a) to allow a 0 ft minimum buffer area between off-street parking and a right of way when the Code requires 10 ft, (2) from §249-12.D(7) to allow off-street parking with a setback of 0 ft from the front yard, when the Code requires 10 ft., (3) from §249-26.1.E to permit an impervious lot coverage of 78.8% when the Code requires 70%, and (4) §249-100.D(2)(b) to allow less than the required number of planted medians in the parking lot.  The property is situated at Section 41, Block 1, Lot 61.22 in the Town of Wallkill with an address of 646 NYS Route 211 East and is located in the Town Center District (TC).   

The Zoning Board of Appeals will consider all verbal and/or written statements from all persons interested in the proposed variance at the above time and place.  The Zoning Board of Appeals will also consider such further relief as it finds necessary.
