ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS (ZBA)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Wallkill, New York on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard on said date.
Due to public health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, the ZBA will NOT be meeting in person. In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 202.1, the May 11, 2020 ZBA public hearing will be held remotely via video conferencing and telephone conference call; and a transcript will be available at a later date. The public WILL have the opportunity to hear the meeting live and provide comments.
The ZBA application to be heard is by PK Songer Plumbing, Inc., as applicant, for a zoning interpretation on whether an existing non-digital billboard is conforming, or not. In the alternative, if the ZBA’s interpretation is not favorable, the applicant will seek for a variance to permit the billboard to remain contrary to §249-11.J(6) of the Town’s Zoning Code (the “Code”). The property is situated at Section 78, Block 1, Lot 32 in the Town of Wallkill with an address of 191 Midway Road and is located in the Office and Research District (OR).
The ZBA will consider all verbal and/or written statements from all persons interested in the proposed variance in the various manners described above. The ZBA will also consider such further relief as it finds necessary.
