The Town looks ahead in assisting them with their application to New York State as their company expands in the Town of Wallkill. The Town of Wallkill is selling items that have been declared surplus by the Town Board. Items include Dirt Bikes, ATV's and other items no longer needed by the Town. The Town of Wallkill is pleased to announce the return of our brush drop off program. Brush will be accepted at our Highway Department between the hours of 6:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM till Noon. Saturday hours will be available from April 25th to May 23rd ONLY. The Highway Department is located at 860 Route 17M, Middletown. Please use our back entrance off of Keasel Road when visiting us on a Saturday.
You can dispose of grass clippings, leaves and brush (no bigger than 3" in diameter) free of charge. Please note that we will not accepts any branches bigger than 3" in diameter, wood or stumps.
This service is for Town residents only, proof of residency is required.
New York State Department of Transportation will be replacing the Route 211 bridge over the Wallkill River in the Town of Montgomery. Construction will begin in May of 2015 with daily lane closures until June 6, 2015. Beginning on June 6th and continuing until September 3rd, the bridge will be closed to all traffic.
