Community Center

The Town of Wallkill has a beautiful Community Center located at 8 Wes Warren Dr., Middletown, NY. The Community Center is very conveniently located off of Rt. 211, our main road and very accessible by car off of the major roads leading to Middletown.communityCenter room

We have our local Senior Groups as well as other groups that use the Center on a regular basis such as: our Star Dust Band to entertain the public, a Quilting Club, and community meetings such as TOW Little League, TOW Soccer Club and others.

We also rent out the Community Center regularly at a nominal fee to the Town of Wallkill Residents. By calling Town Hall you can ask for a date and if available you can rent at various times. All you have to do is download a contract from our website, fill it out completely and drop it and a deposit at the main office to hold a date. We have had many events held there such as baby showers, birthdays, graduations and wedding showers.

Our Community Center is very large and can be divided depending on your needs. The whole center can hold up to 200 people or 100 depending on what you need. We have tables and chairs available and the kitchen has commercial appliances (refrigerator, stove and dishwasher). You can call our Town Hall for more information at 692-7800, Monday through Friday.

Here are the current fees to rent the Community Center:

8AM to 4PM - ½ the Hall (up to 100 people) $200.00
8AM to 4PM - Full Hall (up to 200 people) $400.00

5PM to Midnight - Full Hall (up to 200 people) $450.00

Whole Day - 8AM to Midnight (up to 200 people) $700.00
Half the Hall is not available for the whole day

There is a $50.00 fee to use the commercial kitchen .

Security Deposit  $400.00 - Required for ALL Rentals
The security deposit will be returned to you approximately 2 weeks after your event as long as nothing has been damaged and everything was cleaned up in accordance with the contract.

In order to reserve a date you must come in to the Supervisor's Office, sign a contract and leave a $100 non-refundable deposit.  The $100 will be applied to the total cost of the rental.  Please remember that you must be a Town of Wallkill Resident to rent the Community Center.

Senior Center

In the Town of Wallkill we are very fortunate to have two very active senior groups in the community. They are the Town of Wallkill Seniors and the Happy Seniors. The groups meet on Thursdays and Wednesdays. These two groups are very active and membership is always partaking in trips, events and social gatherings. They provide the seniors with many recreational as well as social programs throughout the year. The Town of Wallkill Seniors is open to all seniors; however, voting is limited to residents regarding selection of leadership and budgetary expenditures. The Happy Seniors is a group that is open to all seniors as well; however, town funding to this group is limited, due to the fact that it is not exclusive to town residents. Our Community Center located on Wes Warren Dr., provides the seniors with a very warm and comfortable place to gather with their neighbors and share special moments. If you would like further information regarding upcoming events, or are interested in joining one or both of these groups, please call 845-692-7800.
